Retina Group of Florida Under Investigation for Data Breach of 152,691 Patient Records

Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe LLP is investigating a data breach that led to unauthorized access to the sensitive information of 152,691 patients of Retina Group of Florida. Retina Group of Florida is an ophthalmology practice that operates 23 retina clinics in East, South and Southwest Gulf Coast Florida.

On September 3, 2025, Retina Group of Florida notified the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights about the data breach. Retina Group of Florida has not yet disclosed when the breach occurred, or which types of personal information were compromised in the breach.
