Union Home Mortgage Corporation Under Investigation for Data Breach of Records
Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe LLP is investigating a data breach that led to unauthorized access to the sensitive information of individuals affiliated with Union Home Mortgage Corporation, an Ohio-based mortgage lending company.
On June 25, 2025, Union Home Mortgage Corporation discovered that an unauthorized third party gained access to its network and files containing individuals’ personal information. On September 12, 2025, the Texas Office of the Attorney General disclosed that 24,160 Texans were impacted by the data breach.
Although the breach occurred in June 2025, Union Home Mortgage Corporation did not begin notifying affected individuals until on or around August 29, 2025, which may have violated state and federal laws. The following information may have been compromised in the breach: names, Social Security numbers, home addresses, dates of birth, driver’s license / state identification numbers, and/or passport numbers.
