Nucor Corporation Under Investigation for Data Breach of Records

On June 20, 2025, Nucor disclosed the data breach by filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. According to the filing, the cyberattack involved unauthorized access to data within the company's IT systems and was detected around May 13, 2025. Following detection of the breach, Nucor launched an investigation with cybersecurity experts. The company reports having discovered that from May 3 to May 13, an unauthorized third party had accessed and acquired certain data, including personal information. Although the breach was detected in early May, 2025, the company had not yet begun notifying individuals whose data may have been impacted by the incident when it filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on June 20, 2025. Nucor has not publicly disclosed what information was stolen.
