Bridges Experience, Inc. Under Investigation for Data Breach of Sensitive Personally Identifiable and Protected Health Information
Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe LLP is investigating a data breach impacting the sensitive personally identifiable information and protected health information in the care of Bridges Experience, Inc. (Bridges EXP), a software company based in North Carolina. Bridges EXP is a clinical experience platform that collaborates with students, universities, and hospitals. It has also previously provided background checks and testing services for nursing and allied health students, as well as for employment screening purposes.
On June 26, 2025, Bridges EXP filed a data breach notice with the Vermont Attorney General's Office. According to the breach notice, Bridges EXP learned that an unauthorized party gained access to a limited number of employee email accounts on or about December 2, 2024, to on or about January 22, 2025. The company conducted an investigation and found that the following information may have been impacted by the breach: names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, routing numbers, medical information, individual health insurance information, driver's license numbers, payment card numbers and access pin numbers, payment card expiration dates, passport numbers, and taxpayer identification numbers
