Kelly Benefits Under Investigation for Data Breach of Over 550,000 Records

Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe LLP is investigating a data breach impacting the sensitive personal and health information of 553,660 individuals whose data was in the possession of Kelly Benefits, a Maryland-based benefits and payroll solutions firm.  

Kelly Benefits became aware of suspicious activity within its network environment in December 2024. The unauthorized actor had access to Kelly Benefits’ data systems between December 12, and December 17, 2024.

Although the breach occurred in December 2024, Kelly Benefits did not begin notifying affected individuals until on or around June 30, 2025, which may have violated state and federal laws. The company’s Data Breach Notice states that the following personal and health information may have been stolen in the breach: names, Social Security numbers, tax ID numbers, date of birth, medical information, health insurance information, and financial account information. 

If your personal information was impacted by this incident, you may be at risk of identity theft and other serious violations of your privacy. As a result, you may be entitled to money damages and an injunction requiring changes to Kelly Benefits’ cybersecurity practices.
