Goshen Medical Center Under Investigation for Data Breach of Over 450,000 Records

Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe LLP is investigating a data breach that led to unauthorized access to the sensitive information of 456,385 individuals affiliated with Goshen Medical Center, a federally qualified healthcare organization serving patients in North Carolina. 

On March 4, 2025, Goshen Medical Center detected suspicious activity in its network and later learned that an unauthorized actor may have accessed or acquired files containing sensitive information on February 15, 2025.

Although the breach occurred in February 2025, Goshen Medical Center did not begin notifying affected individuals until on or around September 17, 2025, which may have violated state and federal laws. The following information may have been compromised in the breach: names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and medical record numbers.
